Very good lesson. Cô Nguyên is a great listener and teacher. She is encouraging, patient, and has improved my Vietnamese tremendously.

It was a very good and fun lesson. I've learned a lot of new words and grammar. Teacher is very good at listening and teaching me new words also giving me examples to how the words can be used in sentences. This lesson was also educational and I love that the teacher shows me pictures of the words I don't know. I really like that we can have conversations about everyday life and still learn new words. The teacher encourages me to hold conversations in vietnamese without relying on english.

Teacher is very patient and good at listening but also very good at helping me with my pronounciation. She is very good at teaching me new words that I don't know or refresh words I don't remember. She makes the lessons fun and is easy to have conversations with :)

I enjoyed that Em Thảo Nguyên uses a strength based approach towards learning. She uses positive reinforcement to cultivate confidence in speaking the language.

I appreciated the specific feedback she provides on my strengths and weaknesses.

As always, Ms. Nguyen not only reviewed Vietnamese vocabulary, grammar points, and pronunciation with me, but also engaged me through a very interesting and useful discussion of regional differences in Vietnam. These included cultural differences, but also linguistic differences, with bits of history mixed in to explain things to me when necessary. Her lesson was also fun and humorous, which made our study time go by very quickly. Even though I'm quite busy these days, she helps motivate me to self-study on the days between our classes!

As usual, class was great because it balanced between being supportive yet challenging. The teacher was incredibly patient, made the lessons fun with humor, and always explained new concepts clearly and thoroughly.

Nguyên is a great teacher! She’s always encouraging me and my sister, even though we never do our homework or speak Vietnamese 😭

Cô Nguyên was patient with me and able to adapt the lesson when I couldn't do the homework assigned! It's always a joy to practice conversation and learn cultural insights as well.

Teacher Thảo Nguyên is patient and helps me feel comfortable speaking Vietnamese. We can discuss many different topics and compare Vietnamese and French culture, which makes the lessons very interesting and enjoyable.

SVFF rất tốt! Nguyên Thảo is the best teacher. She teaches with grace and diligence. I genuinely have fun in our lessons. I grew up speaking Vietnamese, however have never spoken it well. I often mix Vietnamese and English together. With SVFF, my Vietnamese vocabulary has expended immensely. I'm using less English words to supplement. I can also read and write now, something I never imagined I could do. I look forward to continuing to strengthen my Vietnamese fluency with SVFF and their incredible instructors, including Thảo Nguyên!

Cô Nguyên does a wonderful job at relating each lesson to our daily lives to make studying and learning easier. She also makes sure to review often and make sure we understand everything clearly.

I always enjoy studying with Ms. Nguyen! I often take our conversation practice off-topic, but Ms. Nguyen is very skilled at helping me make the most of whatever I want to talk about. I learn many new vocabulary words and expressions thanks to her, and I also learn how to speak more naturally rather than just as a student translating from my language into Vietnamese. She's a talented, natural teacher and a skilled conversationalist who puts in a lot of effort to help me learn better.

I really enjoyed this lesson! We started with a fun and engaging game. Practicing listening and speaking through activities about calling, leaving a message, and texting helped me feel more confident.

Very good lesson! Cô Nguyên always customizes the lesson to better suit my needs. For example, at the beginning of this lesson, I was feeling sad and unmotivated due to other factors in my life. Cô Nguyên quickly recognized that, and adjusted our lesson to do something that worked better for me while simultaneously teaching a productive lesson. She is my favorite!
