Become a Teacher

What is the difference between a professional teacher and a community tutor?

On SVFF, there are two types of teaching profiles: Professional Teacher and Community Tutor. Each applicant can only select one type of teacher. You cannot, for example, apply to be both an English Professional Teacher and an Italian Community Tutor.

Professional Teacher

    • Professional teachers have education training and/or extensive professional teaching experience. They can provide students with resources, prepared materials, and structured lesson plans to assist them in achieving their objectives.
    • To apply for a professional teaching profile, you must upload documents demonstrating your educational training and experience. Check out the minimum requirements right here.

Community Tutor
    • Community tutors are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and they use their time to help students practice their conversation skills.
