Understanding Your Dashboard and Learning Progress

Your Dashboard at a Glance

When you log in to SVFF, the first thing you see is your personal dashboard at /dashboard. This is your home base for everything related to your Vietnamese learning journey. Here is what each section does.

Welcome Card

At the top of your dashboard, you will find a welcome card that greets you by name. It shows:

  • Your current learning streak (how many days in a row you have studied)
  • A quick summary of your recent activity
  • Your overall completion percentage across all enrolled courses

Next Lesson

Just below the welcome card, SVFF highlights your next lesson -- the one you should work on next. This picks up right where you left off, so you never have to search for your place. Simply click the button to jump straight in.

Upcoming Bookings

If you have any scheduled tutoring sessions or live classes, they appear in the Upcoming Bookings section. Each booking shows the date, time, teacher name, and a link to join when the session is about to start.

Quick Action Buttons

Your dashboard includes several quick action buttons to save you time:

  • Continue Learning -- resumes your most recent lesson
  • Browse Courses -- takes you to the full course catalog
  • Book a Session -- opens the tutoring booking page
  • View Progress -- goes to your detailed progress report

Announcements

The announcements section displays the latest news from the SVFF team. This includes new course launches, platform updates, scheduled maintenance, and community events. Important announcements are pinned to the top so you do not miss them.

Checking Your Overall Progress

Visit /progress to see a complete overview of how you are doing across all your courses. This page includes:

  • Total lessons completed vs. total available
  • Overall completion percentage
  • Time spent learning
  • Your longest and current streak

What the Streak Counter Means

Your streak counts the number of consecutive days you have completed at least one learning activity. Activities that count toward your streak include finishing a lesson, completing a quiz, or attending a live session. If you miss a day, the streak resets to zero. Maintaining a streak is a great way to build a consistent study habit.

How Completion Percentage Works

SVFF calculates your completion at three levels:

  • Activity level -- each individual exercise (listening, speaking, matching, etc.) is marked complete when you finish it
  • Lesson level -- a lesson is complete when all activities within it are done
  • Module level -- a module is complete when every lesson in that module is finished

Your overall course percentage reflects how many of the total activities you have completed. For example, if a course has 200 activities and you have finished 50, your progress is 25%.

Course-Specific Progress

For a deeper look at any single course, go to /progress/course/{id} (where {id} is the course number). This page breaks down your progress module by module and lesson by lesson, so you can see exactly which sections are done and which still need attention.

Finding Your Certificates

Once you complete a course, SVFF generates a certificate of completion. You can view and download all your certificates at /progress/certificates. Each certificate includes your name, the course title, your completion date, and a unique verification code.

Tips for Staying on Track

  • Check your dashboard daily to keep your streak alive
  • Use the "Next Lesson" shortcut instead of browsing manually
  • Review your progress page weekly to spot any gaps
  • Set a goal to finish at least one lesson per day
