Hello everyone! In this lesson, we will start learning Vietnamese consonants, beginning with the first seven. The Vietnamese language has a phonetic writing system, meaning each letter corresponds to a specific sound. This makes pronunciation easier because if you learn all the sounds, you can read and pronounce words correctly—even if you don’t know their meanings!

Let’s dive in and explore the first seven consonants in Vietnamese pronunciation.

1. Consonant B (B)

🔹 Pronunciation: Similar to the English "B" in beef.
🔹 Example Words:

• Ba (Father)
• Bún (Rice noodles)

2. Consonant C/K (C/K)

🔹 Pronunciation: Similar to the English "K" in cut, but without a strong airflow.
🔹 Example Words:

• Cá (Fish)
• Kem (Ice cream)

🔹 Pronunciation (Southern Vietnamese): Like "Y" in yes.
