How to Book a 1-on-1 Lesson with a Teacher

Find the Right Teacher for You

SVFF connects you with experienced Vietnamese language teachers for private 1-on-1 lessons. Whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced learner, booking a lesson is quick and simple.

Step 1: Browse Available Teachers

Visit the Teachers page to see all available instructors. You can filter by:

• Teaching experience and specialization
• Student ratings and reviews
• Availability that fits your schedule
• Lesson price range

Step 2: View Teacher Profiles

Click on any teacher to view their full profile. Each profile includes:

• About -- their background, teaching style, and qualifications
• Experience -- years of teaching, number of lessons completed
• Reviews -- honest feedback from other students
• Availability -- a calendar showing open time slots for the upcoming weeks

Take your time to read through profiles and find a teacher whose style matches your learning goals.

Step 3: Book Your Lesson

Once you have chosen a teacher, go to the Booking page to schedule your lesson:

1. Select your teacher from the dropdown list.
2. Pick a date and time slot that works for you. All times are displayed in your local time zone.
3. Choose a lesson length -- most teachers offer 30-minute or 60-minute sessions.
4. Add a note (optional) to let your teacher know what you want to focus on.
5. Confirm your booking by clicking the Book Now button.

What Happens After You Book

After confirming your booking, you will receive:

• A confirmation email with the lesson details, teacher name, and meeting link.
• A calendar reminder so you do not miss your session.
• A notification on your SVFF dashboard under My Lessons.

Your teacher will also be notified and may send you a welcome message before the lesson.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

Plans change -- we understand. Here is how to manage your bookings:

• To reschedule: Go to My Lessons, find the upcoming lesson, and click Reschedule. Choose a new time slot at least 12 hours before the original lesson time.
• To cancel: Click Cancel on the lesson card. Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance will return the full credit to your wallet. Late cancellations (under 24 hours) may not be refunded.

Paying with Lesson Credits

SVFF uses a simple credit-based wallet system:

• Purchase lesson credits from the Wallet section of your account.
• Credits are deducted automatically when you confirm a booking.
• Unused credits do not expire and stay in your wallet until you use them.
• You can check your balance at any time on your dashboard.

What to Expect in Your First Lesson

Your first lesson is all about getting comfortable. Here is what typically happens:

• Your teacher will introduce themselves and ask about your goals.
• You will do a short assessment so the teacher can understand your current level.
• You will practice some basic conversation or work on a topic you choose.
• At the end, your teacher will suggest a learning plan for future sessions.

There is no pressure to be perfect. Every teacher on SVFF is patient and supportive, especially with beginners. Just show up, be curious, and enjoy learning Vietnamese.
