Getting Started — Your First Steps on SVFF Learn

Welcome to SVFF Learn!

Congratulations on starting your Vietnamese learning journey with SVFF. Here's everything you need to know to get started.

Step 1: Set Up Your Account

• Log in at svff.online using Google or email
• Complete your profile with your name and timezone

Step 2: Enroll in a Course

• Go to Courses and browse available courses
• If you're a complete beginner, start with Level 0 — Southern Vietnamese Pronunciation
• If you have some Vietnamese, try the placement quiz or ask your teacher which level is right

Step 3: Book Your First Lesson

• Visit Booking to schedule a 1-on-1 lesson
• Choose a teacher and pick a time that works for you
• Your first lesson will introduce you to the textbook and set your learning plan

Step 4: Explore the Platform

Between lessons, use these tools to practise:

• Flashcards — memorise vocabulary with spaced repetition
• AI Tutor — ask questions about grammar and vocabulary
• SpeakUp — record yourself speaking for teacher feedback
• Shadowing — practise pronunciation by repeating native speakers
• Podcast — listen to Vietnamese content at your level
• Notes — take personal notes while studying

Step 5: Stay Consistent

• Study a little every day to build your streak
• Complete flashcard reviews daily
• Do your SpeakUp homework after each lesson
• Check your progress on the dashboard
