Flashcards — Master Vietnamese Vocabulary with Spaced Repetition

What Are SVFF Flashcards?

SVFF Flashcards use a scientifically proven method called spaced repetition (SM-2 algorithm) to help you memorise Vietnamese vocabulary permanently. Instead of cramming, the system shows you words just before you're about to forget them.

How Spaced Repetition Works

  1. You study a flashcard and rate how well you remembered it
  2. Easy cards are shown less frequently (maybe in 3 days, then 7 days, then 2 weeks...)
  3. Hard cards come back sooner (maybe tomorrow)
  4. Over time, everything moves into your long-term memory

Getting Started

Go to svff.online/flashcards to see your flashcard decks.

You'll find:

  • Assigned decks — decks your teacher has assigned to you (study these first!)
  • Your decks — decks you've created yourself
  • Public decks — decks shared by other students

Studying a Deck

  1. Click on a deck to open it
  2. Click Study Due Cards to review cards that are due today
  3. For each card, try to remember the answer before flipping
  4. After flipping, rate yourself:
    • Hard — you didn't remember or struggled (card comes back soon)
    • OK — you remembered with some effort (normal interval)
    • Easy — you knew it instantly (longer interval)
  5. Keep going until all due cards are reviewed

Quiz Mode

Want a challenge? Try Quiz Mode — a timed quiz that tests your knowledge with scoring. Great for exam preparation!

Audio on Flashcards

Many flashcards include Vietnamese audio pronunciation. Click the speaker icon to hear the correct pronunciation. This uses our AI-powered Vietnamese text-to-speech system.

Your Statistics

Track your progress on the flashcards page:

  • Cards due today — how many cards need review
  • Total learned — cards you've successfully memorised
  • Accuracy — your average recall rate
  • Study streak — consecutive days you've studied

Tips for Best Results

  • Study every day — even 5 minutes a day makes a huge difference with spaced repetition
  • Be honest with ratings — marking "Easy" when you struggled defeats the purpose
  • Review due cards first — the algorithm works best when you study cards on their scheduled day
  • Listen to pronunciation — hearing the word helps cement it in memory
