Hello everyone! Welcome to the Southern Vietnamese for Foreigners (SVFF) blog! We’re excited to share a glimpse into the lives of our dedicated Vietnamese teachers and their experiences teaching this beautiful language to students from all over the world.
Meet Our Passionate Teachers
At SVFF, we are a team of enthusiastic educators who have dedicated years to helping students master the Vietnamese language. Some of our teachers have been with SVFF since the very beginning, while others have recently joined, bringing fresh energy and new perspectives to our community.
Each of us has a unique journey in teaching Vietnamese. Some have been teaching for over 10 years, while others are just beginning their second or third year. But no matter how long we’ve been here, one thing remains the same—we all share a deep love for teaching and connecting with our students.
The Joys of Teaching Vietnamese
Teaching Vietnamese is more than just a job; it’s a journey filled with wonderful experiences. Our teachers have had the opportunity to meet students from all walks of life—CEOs, doctors, engineers, and even billionaires in the tech industry. Through teaching, we also learn from our students, exchanging knowledge and cultural insights that enrich our lives.
One of the biggest joys for us is seeing our students progress. Many start with little to no knowledge of Vietnamese, but after months of learning, they can confidently communicate with their Vietnamese friends, partners, or family members. Some even use Vietnamese in their professional lives!
Another fun part of our job is the flexibility of online teaching. Many of us love the fact that we can dress professionally on top while wearing comfortable shorts underneath—one of the perks of online classes! 😆
Memorable Moments from 2024
Looking back at the past year, we have so many unforgettable moments:
- Traveling to new places and experiencing different cultures.
- Hosting Vietnamese cooking classes for foreign learners—sharing the flavors of Vietnam worldwide!
- Organizing language exchange events where our students connect with local Vietnamese students, helping each other practice Vietnamese and English.
- Witnessing our students' success, from passing exams to confidently speaking with their Vietnamese families.
Lessons and Reflections
Of course, the year wasn’t without its challenges. Many of us wish we had managed our time better, taken better care of our health, or spent more time with loved ones. But these reflections only push us to grow stronger in the year ahead.
Goals and Hopes for 2025
As we step into 2025, we have big dreams for SVFF:
- Expanding our reach so more people can learn Southern Vietnamese effectively.
- Creating new learning materials to make Vietnamese easier and more enjoyable to learn.
- Strengthening our community of learners, making language learning more interactive and fun.
Personally, many of us also hope to travel more, stay healthy, and improve our teaching skills to provide even better lessons for our students.
A Special Message for Our Students
To all our dear students, thank you for being part of SVFF! We are so proud of your dedication and hard work in learning Vietnamese. We hope that in 2025, you will continue to improve, feel more confident speaking Vietnamese, and enjoy the learning process.
