What Are 1-on-1 Classes at SVFF?
SVFF offers private, one-on-one Vietnamese lessons with native Southern Vietnamese teachers. Each session is a live video call where you get the full attention of a qualified instructor who tailors every lesson to your level, goals, and interests.
Whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced learner looking to refine your pronunciation, 1-on-1 classes give you the most efficient and personalised path to fluency.
How Are Lessons Conducted?
All 1-on-1 lessons take place online via Google Meet. You can join from anywhere in the world — all you need is a stable internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone.
Each session is approximately 50 minutes long. Your teacher will share materials on screen, and you will practise speaking, listening, and reading in real time.
Trial lessons are 30 minutes — a great way to experience the format before committing.
What Happens in a Typical Lesson?
Your teacher will design each session around your needs. A typical lesson may include:
- Conversation practice — guided dialogue on everyday topics using natural Southern Vietnamese
- Textbook work — structured lessons from SVFF's own curriculum, with audio and exercises
- Pronunciation coaching — focused practice on Vietnamese tones and sounds
- Vocabulary building — new words and phrases in context
- Grammar explanation — clear, practical grammar suited to your level
- Homework review — going over exercises from your previous session
Lessons are flexible. If you want to focus on business Vietnamese, travel phrases, or exam preparation, your teacher will adapt accordingly.
