Welcome back! With over 5,000 lessons in your SVFF Unlimited ∞ membership, you have an incredible resource at your fingertips. To help you navigate this rich library and make the most of your learning, it's essential to understand the clear path we've designed for you.
Our curriculum is not just a collection of lessons; it's a step-by-step journey from your first sound to full fluency in the Southern Vietnamese dialect.
Here is a breakdown of how our courses are structured to guide your learning.
Level 0: The Foundation
This is where every journey in the Southern dialect begins. Before you learn your first word, you need to master the unique sounds and tones.- What you'll learn: The fundamentals of Vietnamese pronunciation. This course will teach you to distinguish tones, form complicated sounds, and pronounce any word correctly.
- Purpose: To build a rock-solid foundation that prevents you from developing bad habits in pronunciation, which is crucial for the Southern dialect.
Level 1 (A1): Everyday Expressions
At this level, you’ll start building your basic conversational skills.- What you'll learn: Simple topics like greetings, asking about time and age, giving directions, and ordering food.
- Purpose: To give you the confidence to handle basic, everyday situations and share personal information.
Level 2 (A2): Expanding Your World
Even though you’re still a beginner, the content becomes more challenging and practical.- What you'll learn: Forming longer sentences and engaging in conversations about more familiar topics like shopping, talking on the phone, and your feelings.
- Purpose: To move you beyond simple exchanges and into more routine, yet essential, real-life tasks.
Level 3: The Intermediate Stage
This is where learning becomes more engaging as you can express yourself more freely.- What you'll learn: How to understand the main points of clear conversations on work, school, and leisure. You'll also learn to describe your experiences, dreams, and ambitions.
- Purpose: To give you the tools to handle most situations that may arise while traveling in Southern Vietnam and beyond.
Level 4: Fluency and Speed
At this stage, your learning accelerates. You'll focus on both a wider range of topics and improving your speed.- What you'll learn: Understanding complex texts on both abstract and concrete topics, and interacting with a high degree of fluency. Our instructors may speak at a faster, more natural pace to help you adjust.
- Purpose: To prepare you for real-world conversations with native speakers and ensure you don’t feel surprised by their speed.
Level 5: Proficiency
This is the final stage of your structured learning journey.- What you'll learn: You'll be able to understand almost everything you hear or read, and express yourself spontaneously and precisely for social, academic, and professional purposes.
- Purpose: To give you the final tools to become a fluent speaker, at which point we encourage you to immerse yourself in Vietnamese environments by watching movies and news.
